When I first bought my Thai Chilli plant, it already a good number of chillies on it. In fact, their vibrant colours were what attracted me to the plant in the first place. I use the chillies for cooking — among other dishes, my Fried Fish in Miso Sauce.

To ensure a continuous supply of chillies, I saved the seeds from the last fruit and sowed them in another pot. That was a couple of months ago. So now I’ve got a full-grown plant and a young one — see below. The latter would take around three months to fully mature and start bearing fruit. In the meantime, I’m hoping that the original, parent plant will give me a good supply of Thai chillies for cooking.
